¡¡¡¡Container shipping lines participating in the Asia Australia Discussion Agreement (AADA) have announced plans to reduce the bunker surcharge for container shipments originating in China and Hong Kong for delivery to Australia.
¡¡¡¡The move is intended to reflect the recent decrease in the price of oil in Hong Kong and South Korea.As a result, the bunker surcharge level for shipments from China and Hong Kong to ports in Australia will be lowered to USD600 per TEU and USD1,200 per FEU for dry and refrigerated containers, with effect from Sept 26th.
